Beyond the Object Project

"The Object Project" is a collaborative exhibition between 15 artists that has travelled to 5 museums around the country. One can visit www.theobjectproject.com to see details of that show. The final stop of the exhibition is the Museum of Outdoor Arts in Englewood, Colorado. Throughout the years that we have worked on this project together, the artists have developed wonderful friendships and opportunities for dialog. Being that the show is at its final destination, the artists wanted another opportunity to show together. Whereas the "Object Project" required the artists to paint specific pieces for our corporate idea, at Gallery 1261 the artists are showing examples of their individual work apart from the museum show. Thus, we are excited to present "Beyond the Object Project" at Gallery 1261. Viewers can visit the museum and then go to the gallery (or vice versa) to see "what else" the artists do beyond the giant collaborative effort.
